Connecting with Ramat Shalom
Become A Part Of The Ramat Shalom Family
There are many different ways to connect to our Ramat Shalom community.  The most common way to do so is by becoming a member of the synagogue. Membership allows you to take advantage of all that the synagogue has to offer, including religious services, educational opportunities and social programs.  At the same time, membership at Ramat Shalom allows  you to become a community builder, helping to strengthen Ramat Shalom and the larger Jewish community by your desire to connect.  We offer membersip opportunities for families, singles, single parents, seniors and young adults. We also have a special "Welcome Home" membership for former members of our community.  We welcome you to become a part of our synagogue family.  Please click on the "Join Us" image to the right for more information.
Take Us For A Test Drive!
Deciding to join a synagogue is a big decision.  To help you decide if Ramat Shalom is the right community for you, we invite you to take us for a "Test Drive" - a year long program that allows you to explore the synagogue without having to be a member.  If you would like more information on the Test Drive Program, please call us at 954-472-3600 or email the office by clicking on the image to the left.

Membership Free Kindergarten-2nd Grade Torah School
In addition to our Test Drive Program, Ramat Shalom's Torah School is now inviting families to enroll their Kindergarten through 2nd grade students in our dynamic Sunday morning educational program without becoming members of the synagogue. This is a wonderful opportunity for families with young children to become familiar with all that Ramat Shalom has to offer.  Please note that membership is required to enroll children in 3rd-7th grade.  For more information, please contact our Educational Director, Beth Michell, at 954-472-3600 or email her by clicking on the image to the right.
Lifecycles At Ramat Shalom

The first time many people connect with Ramat Shalom is at a lifecycle event officiated at by our clergy.   If you have attended a baby naming, bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, or even a funeral or unveiling led by our Rabbi or Cantor, you know how closely they work with our families to create truly sacred lifecycle moments that are infused with meaning and tradition. If you have any questions about a lifecycle ceremony, please feel free to call upon them for guidance. While our Rabbi and Cantor's primary responsibility is to our members, depending upon their schedules, they might be able to officiate at your upcoming ceremony. If not, they will certainly be able to refer you to someone who will be able to assist you.  Please note, our Rabbi and Cantor do not officiate at the B'nai Mitzvah of non-members.

Converting to Judaism is a serious, extremely personal decision that requires a great deal of soul searching, a tremendous commitment to learn about Judaism, and a true desire to live a Jewish life.  One should never convert to make someone else happy.  Conversion should be done to enrich your own spiritual life. To become a Jew, one cannot simply decide that s/he is Jewish.   S/he must engage in a rigorous study of Judaism while living our rituals, traditions, and customs.
