Ramat Shalom's Sisterhood organizes programs throughout the year that give the women of Ramat Shalom an opportunity to come together for fun and friendship. Through the Chanukah Boutique, Sisterhood helps to raise funds to support synagogue projects and events. Always there to offer support to the entire synagogue community, Sisterhood members are some of our most active volunteers.
Our Men's Club is where the guys of Ramat Shalom come to hang out and get away from the daily grind. Whether it is playing cards, attending a sporting event or helping spruce up the synagogue gardens, the Men's Club is an important part of the Ramat Shalom community.
HaBimah, Ramat Shalom's theater group, has recently been brought back to life after a long hiatus. With the group's recent performance of Neil Simon's "Fools", it is clear that HaBimah is here to stay. Anyone with the desire to act, direct or work behind the scenes is invited to join HaBimah.
For all those bibliophiles, the Book Club meets throughout the year to discuss a wide selection of books. Together, participants pick the reading list and set the meeting schedule. We are always looking for some new readers!
Moms and dads join the Parents' Havurah for a night on the town! Get a babysitter and join us for dinner, bowling or other adventure.
Tikkun Olam Projects
Ramat Shalom is always looking for people to help work on our numerous Tikkun Olam/Social Action Projects. This year, we will need volunteers to help us with our school supply drive for children in Israel, our WECARE food collection, our Thanksgiving meal prep, our JFS Chanukah gift collection, our clothing drive for victims of domestic abuse and our Pesah packages for US troops.
Love the theater, a visit to the museum or an afternoon concert? Looking for some friends who share your interests? Look no further - Culture Vultures is the group for you!
Under the direction of our Cantor, Kol HaNeshamah (our Adult Choir) is a musical sensation! We invite anyone who wants to sing - no experience or skill required - to join us! Our choir takes part in our Shabbat and holiday services. We also sing at special concerts and visit local nursing homes to entertain residents.
